On Saturday 20th July, Catfish and the Bottlemen took to the stage at Cardiff Castle for the second night in a row and we went down to see their concert after a long awaited return after a lengthy hiatus.

We’re sure that many fans were worried considering that two of the four members of the band departed since their last appearance in 2021 however we were more than impressed. Touching on each of their albums for the set, almost none of their discography was neglected apart from one notable exception: Showtime, which is assumed to be the lead single from an as yet, unannounced fourth studio album. Although the band was slightly late to the stage and as a result having to finish the concert a couple of songs short, Van McCann and the band sound like they haven’t had a break at all and we are glad to have them back in the British indie music scene
