The Damned Things mark their long-awaited return with news of their sophomore album High Crimes, due for release on 26th April via Nuclear Blast Records.
The band was formed nine years ago by Anthrax guitarist/co-founder Scott Ian and Fall Out Boy guitarist/co-founder Joe Trohman, who recruited Fall Out Boy drummer Andy Hurley and Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley. The Damned Things have gone through changes since their inception and now also features Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio on bass.
To coincide with the album announcement the band have released a video for their new single Cells.
“Normally, when career bands say they made a record for fun, they didn’t – but we actually did. Maybe that’s why this band doesn’t have a career?” Trohman comments. “Anyway, we’re genuinely proud of it. Check it out, and watch the video to see how severely injured we got during the process!”
High Crimes is available for pre-order in both digital and physical formats HERE.
