FESTIVAL NEWS: Black Deer Festival Confirms More Names

Black Deer Festival has announced even more names for their summer event, set to take place at Eridge Park in Kent between 21st – 23rd June.

Billy Bragg, Yola, Ethan Johns (solo), Black Eyed Dogs, Treetop Flyers, Ida Mae, Mike Farris, Emile Mae Winters, Sam Morrow, Roseanne Reid, Amy Montgomery, Joanna Serrat, Arielle, Sam Beer, The Southern Companion, Hannah White & The Nordic Connections and Hot Rock Pilgrims have all been confirmed in this latest announcement.

The festival has also announced the return of the Under The Apple Tree sessions as founded and curated by BBC Radio 2 and The Old Grey Whistle Test’s “Whispering” Bob Harris OBE. Springing from Bob’s very own Apple Tree studio in a rural Oxfordshire orchard, the sessions will come to life on Black Deer’s SupaJam Stage.

Kicking off proceedings on Friday 21st June, Bob Harris will host the weekend’s first highly-anticipated session featuring Ethan Johns, John Smith, Irish Mythen, and Ferris & Sylvester.  For the remainder of the weekend, Bob’s right-hand-man Marc West will step up to the SupaJam stage to host an interactive meeting between Ryan Bingham, Chance McCoy and Roseanne Reid on Saturday. Marc will then round-off the festival with a closing assembly with Billy Bragg, Larkin Poe, Worry Dolls and Paul Cauthen.

DJ sets have also been confirmed with Hank JD Sleek, Whiskey Preachin and Big Steve Arlene.

If that wasn’t enough, there will be authentic food (including Grillstock, the largest authentic BBQ festival outside of the US), as well as a unique cinema experience, a Desertscene takeover on the Roadhouse stage and plenty of ornate rustic items on sale at the Mercantile.

Tier 2 tickets are now on sale, available from £125 (subject to booking fee). For further information, the full line-up so far and tickets head to the festival website HERE.
