2000trees Festival have announced their first headliner for 2020, Jimmy Eat World.
“We don’t usually announce Trees bands before Christmas but having Jimmy Eat World as Main Stage headliner just got us too damn excited,” comments festival booker James Scarlett. “I’m honestly absolutely certain this is going to be our biggest and best line up ever. We have another 50 odd bands ready to go but I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until January for details. My advice is get your tickets now before it sells out!”
Last year saw 2000trees ban plastic and introduce the GreenGoblet cup scheme, which contributed to a six tonne reduction in waste compared to 2018. They also had Frank Water at the festival for the first time, serving 6, 700 litres of chilled filtered water from their kiosks, saving around 13, 500 single use plastic bottles from ended up in landfill or oceans.
In 2020 2000trees will be teaming up with two charities: Attitude Is Everything, who work with audiences, artists and the live music industry to improve Deaf and disabled people’s access to live music; and TREE AID, which works with local communities to help them protect and grow trees, for themselves and for future generations..
2000trees Festival takes place between 9th-11th July 2020 at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Early bird tickets are still available with 10% discount for a limited time, available HERE.
