Haggard Cat have released a video for their single European Hardware, taken from their forthcoming album Common Sense Holiday.
The video documents the duo in a concrete box, where they remained for 24 hours to protest against the current political climate and to highlight Extinction Rebellion.
“Just over a month ago we sealed ourselves in a concrete catacomb for 24 hours,” explains vocalist/guitarist Matt Reynolds. “The video itself documents the whole thing, it’s all real, we actually stayed in there for the duration and live-streamed the whole thing, it was hell! We did this to visually represent what we’re talking about in the song, in order to hopefully get a few more of you talking about how detrimental the current political path we’re on will be to every one of us (well those of us who aren’t billionaires, or millionaires working for the billionaires).”
A special t-shirt was designed by Extinction Rebellion with 100% of profits going to the cause, available to purchase HERE.
Common Sense Holiday is due for release on 13th March via Earache Records, available to pre-order HERE.
