Hayley Williams has unveiled Petals For Armor II, a second five-track collection in the lead up to her debut solo album, Petals For Armor.
“PFA II is the perfect interlude between where Petals began and where it’s going… Part III isn’t far behind,” says Williams. “I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms, and discover what I desire for my life.”
In light of the release, Hayley Williams has also released her new single Dead Horse.
“The latest single, Dead Horse, offers strength back to a younger, weaker version of myself,” she adds. “I feel like all of this needed to be said in order to embody the kind of woman I hope to be.”
The second instalment of the album also includes recent tracks My Friend, Over Yet, Why We Ever and Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris, featuring singer-songwriters Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. Petals For Armor II follows Petals For Armor I, which features single Simmer as well as Leave It Alone and Cinnamon.
