Sobriquet have released a video for their new single Higami, taken from their forthcoming EP A Hundred Thousand Tongues. The track was written during frontman Ludovico Fahey‘s time studying abroad in Okinawa, Japan.
“Lyrically this song’s about coming to terms with the parts of yourself you don’t like, embracing your flaws, realising perhaps that hey, maybe I’m not as much of a weird, fundamentally unlikable person as I think I am and that aspect of myself exists only within my head,” Fahey explains. “Or it could be about fighting your evil twin in a shallow body of water, that works too.”
Sobriquet‘s new EP A Hundred Thousand Tongues is due for release on 1st May.
