Gin Wigmore has released her new single Hangover Halo, marking her new chapter as she signs to 333 Wreckords Crew.
“I would rebel against just about everything, mostly just to see what happens, living life like one big and beautiful science experiment,” she reflects on her own childhood, which inspired her to write the song. “It would boil over from time to time and be cause for great celebration from me every time it did. My poor mum generally suffering through the brunt of my late nights, booze thievery and general self-abandon.
“But it is that invincible shield of a rose-coloured lens that made life so damn tasty as a young teenager. ‘Hangover Halo’ is all about that. About that lust for life, the innocent and naive perspective to rebelliously come as you are. Imperfections and all. ‘Hangover Halo’ is a song about seeing yourself and the world for what it is – a toast to simply being alive. And the idea that you don’t need to compare your own twisty path to the person beside you, with or without a “halo”, you’ll be golden just as you are.”

Anyone who purchases the track through BandCamp (HERE) can also offer a donation to Panthera, an organisation devoted to the conservation of the world’s cats and their ecosystems. The campaign has specifically been set up to raise awareness of tigers, in the hope of bringing to action the Big Cat Safety Act, a bi-partisan bill to end commercial captive breeding and exploitation of tigers in the USA.
