The Sword have revealed a rare deep-cut called Daughter of Dawn, featured on their career-spanning compilations, Conquest of Kingdoms and Chronology: 2006-2018, which are due for release on 19th June 2020 via Craft Recordings.
Daughter of Dawn was originally released on P-Vine 3010 Warp Riders in 2010, included as a bonus track on the Japanese release of the album and, until now, previously unreleased outside of Japan.
Conquest of Kingdoms is a three-disc vinyl collection of rarities and oddities. Featuring thirty tracks, sixteen of which are previously unreleased, the compilation will include B-sides, remixes and live recordings of fan-favourites including Freya, Iron Swan and Fire Lances of the Ancient Hyperzephyrians, as well as covers of Led Zeppelin‘s Immigrant Song, ZZ Top‘s Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings, KISS‘ She, Pentagram‘s Forever My Queen and more. Released as a triple gatefold package, there will also be a limited edition colour variant (1000 pressings worldwide) which will be available exclusively via the band’s website (HERE), Craft Recordings (HERE) and independent retailers (HERE). A truncated digital version will also be available.
Chronology: 2006-2018 is a three-disc CD collection, which also includes The Sword‘s greatest hits and fan-favourites. Fifty two tracks from the band’s entire discography, including twelve previously unreleased tracks, Chronology: 2006-2018 will feature studio recordings of Freya, Iron Swan, Cloak of Feathers, Deadly Nightshade and more. The set will also include expansive liner notes with contributions from the band, plus Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich, Lamb Of God‘s Mark Morton and Clutch‘s Neil Fallon.
