Devin Townsend has been hosting live stream shows in his home studio this month, each one raising money for healthcare workers around the world. For each show Townsend put together a four-camera rig, controlled using an Xbox controller. Shows last approximately fifty minutes with different set-lists for each time.
The second show, which took place on 25th April 2020 and sold 3420 tickets, raised over £65,000 ($81,000) for the NHS in the UK. The other two shows were in aid of Vancouver’s General Hospital and North Shore University Hospital in New York. In total he has raised over $186,000.
The top donors for each show receive signed merchandise from Omerch, album goodies from InsideOut as well as several high-end products from a number of Townsend’s gear companies such as Mooer, Fractal, Toontrack, Dunlop and |Fishman to name a few.
