Aussie rock trio Skegss have released their new single Under The Thunder, alongside a music video.
Produced by Catherine Marks (The Killers, Manchester Orchestra), the track is an upbeat, summery tune which is also effortlessly catchy. Following on from 2019 standalone single Save It For The Weekend, this is another taste of new music which follows 2018 debut album My Own Mess.
Explaining the story behind Under The Thunder‘s lyrics, vocalist Ben Reed says: “This song is about enjoying the rollercoaster of life, no one can live forever so you may as well enjoy the seasons and becoming. There’s not always going to be a solution to some situations that you’re in, so you have to take the good with the bad and ride it out, and just enjoy a beer when you can and not think about any of the bad things in your life. Nature will always have its way at the end of the day.”.
If you’ve ever wondered what happened when the trio escapeed quarantine for a day, you’re in luck as the video shows just what happened when they got this taste of freedom. The video, which was directed by Kai Neville, can be seen below.
Under The Thunder is out now via Loma Vista Recordings, available to stream or purchase HERE.
