MAN WITH A MISSION have released their new single Rock Kingdom feat. HOTEI, which is taken from their MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION greatest hits album.
The latest album is the final part of a trilogy of releases from the band to celebrate their tenth anniversary, with a tracklist made up of singles and fan favourites. It follows on from the release of MAN WITH A “REMIX” MISSION and MAN WITH A “B-SIDE & COVERS” MISSION.
Latest single Rock Kingdom feat. Hotei is a brand new track created for the album and features Tomoyasu Hotei. With lockdown making it a challenge to record music videos right now, the video combines socially distance performances within scenes of empty cities. Speaking about the recording of the video, guitarist Jean-Ken Johnny comments: “It’s actually the first time all five wolves weren’t in the same scene, and it was so awesome to have HOTEI join our video all the way from London! It turned out to be a very special video so hope you guys enjoy it!”
Discussing his involvement with the track, HOTEI adds: “MAN WITH A MISSION and I got to collaborate on my song (‘Give It To The Universe feat. MAN WITH A MISSION’), and we got along so well they asked me in return to collaborate on one of their songs. I’m super excited that the song turned out to be a very powerful track! It was lonely filming the video on my own, but hopefully I’ll get to rock out with the wolves very soon!”
MAN WITH A MISSION are continuing their 2020 wave of releases, set to release their documentary MAN WITH A MISSION: THE MOVIE – TRACE THE HISTORY on 19th August 2020. The documentary will look into the band’s rise from rock club shows to selling out arenas and becoming one of the biggest rock bands to emerge from Asia.
MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION is out now on a variety of formats, including a special physical edition with a live DVD of the band’s May 2019 Yokohama Arena show. The album is available to stream or purchase HERE.
