Dream Nails have released a video for their new single Vagina Police. The track was originally released by London-based indie label Everything Sucks Music, but the new version is taken from the band’s forthcoming self-titled debut album.
“[The song is] our battle-cry against the persistent and pathetic-yet-insidious obsession of the state to police our bodies at any cost,” explains drummer Lucy Katz. “It’s a song about reproductive rights and (in)justice in all its forms.”
“From abortions being illegal, to forced sterilisation of trans people. We stand in solidarity with our trans siblings in the face of the UK’s repression of trans rights,” adds bassist Mimi Jassson.
Dream Nails‘ self-titled debut album is due for release on 28th August 2020 via Alcopop! Records, available to pre-order HERE.
For the next month, 100% of Dream Nails’ Bandcamp proceeds will be split between Abortion Support Network and Mermaids.
