Steven Wilson has confirmed that his sixth studio album, THE FUTURE BITES, will be released on 29th January 2021 via TFB.com/Caroline International. The release of the album was originally put on hold, due to the initial onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In light of the news, Steven Wilson has released a video for his new single EMINENT SLEAZE.
A limited edition 12″ of EMINENT SLEAZE will be released on 24th October 2020 as part of this year’s Record Store Day, available in participating #RSD20 shops both in person and online. The single will also be released on limited edition CD, along with very limited merchandise bundles, available for 24-hours only. Both the 12″ and the CD will feature exclusive tracks recorded during the album sessions, EYEWITNESS and IN FLORAL GREEN.
Inspired by notable 21st century artefacts, THE FUTURE BITES is a fully designed consumer universe, built in collaboration with Baby and Crystal Spotlight, designed to be accessible to anyone from the casual fan to the hardcore collector.
THE FUTURE BITES will be released on all digital platforms, vinyl, cassette, CD, and as a limited edition deluxe box-set, that contains CDs of the album, an instrumental version of the album, bonus material, a cassette of demos and a Blu-Ray featuring videos and Steven Wilson’s own 5.1 surround sound and Dolby Atmos versions of the album.
