A new virtual musical and wellbeing festival has been announced, the Headstock Weekender, due to take place on 10th and 11th October 2020.
Over the course of the weekend there will be performances from the likes of Nothing But Thieves, Kodaline, The Lottery Winners, Larkins and more, alongside exclusive talks/interviews and immersive wellbeing experiences for attendees to participate in.
In celebration of World Mental Health Day, the two-day event will be taking place via the United We Stream platform to raise money for Help Musicians and Manchester Mind. The festival was originally meant to be a week-long event in Manchester in May, but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic – all the virtual festival performances will be in accordance with current Government guidelines. Headstock Weekender will be free to watch HERE via the United We Stream; attendees are encouraged to purchase a virtual event ticket or donate what they are able to HERE via the JustGiving page, to support the event charities.
Speaking about the importance of the event, Headstock Founder Atheer Al-Salim says: “Through the power of music and shared experiences, our goal is to create change by changing the conversation around mental health. Music has a huge role to play in our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and that applies now, more than ever.”
