Electric Century, the project of Mikey Way and David Debiak, have released their new single Till We’re Gone. The track is the first taste of their self-titled sophomore album, due for release on 26th February 2021.
“The inspiration for the song comes from a friend that was separated from a woman for some time, and she waited for him,” Way recently told Alternative Press. “When they were finally reunited, they had to reconcile the past while building an amazing new life together.”
Electric Century‘s self-titled album will be released alongside an original graphic novel. Way and Shaun Simon recruited artist Toby Cypress to create the comic, who comments: “The team I’m working with is inspiring, and killing it on the script. I grew up in many of the areas the story takes place along the Jersey Beaches and casinos. This project is turning into a love letter to those amazing times back in the 80s.”
