Indie-rock outfit Muttering have shared a session video for their unreleased track Rattle Your Cage. The song is taken from their forthcoming debut EP Don’t Think About It, which is set for release on 9th April 2021 via Failure By Design Records.
Vocalist Chaz Bush says of the inspiration behind the track: “It is so easy to get into a conversation with a stranger, but how do you have a conversation that is beneficial to both of you? Do you challenge the people in your life when you disagree?”
He adds: “The premise of this song is to be aware that sometimes the fight is worth having, even if you’re sick of someone constantly contradicting themselves or making factually inaccurate statements. Rattle them. Make them think about it. The next time they have the opportunity to spew their nonsense, they might reconsider. This song is about understanding that everyone’s voice and actions can inspire others.”
The session video is the final part of their three-part Live At The Bookhouse series, which includes videos for previous singles Swim and Good Luck.
