Fizzy Blood are back with their brand new single Ka Palaho Beach, their first music in four years.
“Ka Palaho beach is our first new music in four years. The world has changed a lot since then and so have we,” says songwriter/guitarist Paul Howells. “We felt it was important to release this now as, when we started writing it, it maybe felt once-removed from reality, but more and more the content of what it means seems to mirror what we experience day-to-day. It’s essentially a cautionary message about the cost of convenience and the cost of luxury. I won’t go into it further than that as I don’t want to diminish any other meaning that people might pull from it themselves, but to sum it up – it just felt like the right time.”
“One of the main themes here is change – us changing as people, the world changing, the music changing, a lot of things changing,” adds vocalist Benji Inkley. “We’ve had to do a lot of adjusting for live music, because quite simply it’s not something we’ve been able to do for the past two years. We wanted to come back with something a little bit different, and I feel like we’ve definitely done that. I’m really looking forward to just showing everybody what’s coming next, for everyone to see what we’ve done and how much we’ve changed… for the better.”
