Bad Nerves are making waves with their power-pop sound. Following the announcement of their new single Don’t Stop and as they begin their tour with Tigercub, we spoke to them to find out just what life is like out on the road with them.
Favourite thing about touring:
The 25 minutes on stage & the hotel breakfasts.
Least favourite thing about touring:
I guess probably just the sitting in a van for hours and hours on end. It’s not that bad but there are definitely times when you wish you could teleport.
Five essentials for the road:
Mayonnaise
Nytol
Honey/Ginger/Lemons
Sunglasses
Gaffer tape
Your favourite way to pass the time:
Heated debates on shit we know little to nothing about. Same as everyone.
“The Most”
Memorable moment:
Probably either Lowlands festival or our recent sold out run in the Netherlands.
Hilarious moment:
The time some guy tried to hurl abuse at us out his car window on the autobahn in Germany and ploughed straight into the car in front of him. Karma.
Embarrassing moment:
I fell flat on my face in front of two thousand people after leaping from Sam’s kick drum. Sunglasses look good but they aren’t always practical.
Outrageous moment:
Me and Will got an earful from a naked dude in a hotel sauna a few years back. A literal bollocking you might call it.
Drunken moment:
George took this title after Jalles House Rock Festival in France. He covered a mini cab in puke, then fell over and split his head open, and two hours later we were running to catch a plane. I’ll never forget that crown of blood and the looks of disgust as we pushed to the front of the queue in the airport. I was so pleased to not be him that day.
Rewarding moment:
Every show we play where there’s at least one person there who likes the music.
