Superchunk have shared their new single On The Floor, taken from their upcoming album Wild Loneliness. The track features backing vocals from R.E.M.’s Mike Mills and piano from Franklin Bruno.
“The demo of On the Floor reminded me of something from the R.E.M. album Reckoning,” says vocalist/guitarist Mac McCaughan. “So I wanted it to have piano-ably supplied by Franklin Bruno – and then luckily, we even got Mike Mills to add his distinctive voice in the harmonies.”
Wild Loneliness is due for release on 25th February 2022 via Merge Records, available to pre-order in various formats HERE.
