In Hearts Wake have shared the trailer for their forthcoming feature-length documentary Green Is The New Black.
The documentary looks at the music industry and the relationship which it has with the environment. It also looks at the band’s journey to 100% carbon offset their 2020 album Kaliyuga and their steps towards becoming a certified Carbon Neutral Organisation. Green Is The New Black sees In Hearts Wake talking to creatives, experts and professionals such as AY Young (United Nations Young Leader), Tamara Smith (Greens Member for Parliament) and Luke Logemann (UNFD Records) to discover the current issues and the solutions for the way forward.
In Hearts Wake vocalist/Green Is The New Black producer and co-director Jake Taylor comments: “When we first started this band, we just wanted to tour the world and play music, but the further we travelled the more it hit home. We were unintentionally endangering our own future. The world we knew was changing fast and we realised we had to change with it.”
