Next year’s Lead Country Partner has been announced as Italy and will see two special Italian showcases held during the festival, highlighting the best upcoming Italian artists organised by the Italia Music Export office.
“We’re really happy and excited to have Italy as the lead country at The Great Escape 2023. We’ve been working on exporting Italian music since 2018 and have already achieved great exposure for our artists. We’ve been experiencing a renewed interest in our music scene (perhaps this has something to do with Måneskin becoming world famous, I suppose!) so we hope TGE23 will be a great occasion for British music professionals to discover some up-and-coming artists from Italy,” comments Nur Al Habash of Italia Music Export.
As part of The Great Escape, their annual conference will also be taking place at Jury’s Inn in Brighton. The three-day event will focus on Music + Education on 10th May, Music + Deals on 11th May and Music + The Creator Economy on 12th May. Find out more about the festival and purchase your tickets HERE.
