Originally set to play the Sophie Lancaster Stage, Austrian ska punk/metal group Russkaja announced their disbandment earlier this month, leaving the slot empty. Bloodstock have now announced metal’s avant-garde mystery quintet, BOSSK are to be filling the stage instead.

They share how “It’s been a fair few years since we last played at Bloodstock. When we played the first time we were a little apprehensive about how we would go down at a predominantly fast metal festival, but the response was incredible. And even better the next time. To play in 2023 is going to be incredible, and to see the festival continue to grow is a great thing for the UK music scene. Thank you to everyone involved for having us back, we can’t wait. Hail the riff.”
