Originally labelled as an “anonymous pastiche of metalcore“, Chuggaboom burst onto the scene nine years ago, immediately stealing hearts with their mysterious ways. Last year, they finally released a follow up to their 2015 record Zodiac Arrest, with Death Pledge via Dead Serious Recordings. Riding on this high, the quintet are back with a new twist on classic Sum 41.
Frontman, Levi Taurus, shares how, “Growing up with “All Killer No Filler” as the soundtrack of our collective childhoods, when the opportunity came to reimagine a classic like Fat Lip, we needed the right motive and the right lyrics.
Written to promote their Free Entry UK tour in March 2023, Chuggaboom explain how the idea of this tour is to support fans “who may otherwise not be able to afford to go to a show, with the chance to enjoy themselves to live music during the cost of living crisis.”
