Skindred have released a video for their new single Set Fazers, taken from their forthcoming album Smile.
“Star date 22.3.23: With this song we’re boldly going where no ragga-metal has gone before. We come in peace, L.O.V.E and unity, to bring Skindred’s outergalactic sound-system to the infinite expanse of the cosmos,” says vocalist Benji Webbe.
The video was directed by Steve Clarke and drummer Arya Goggin says of it, “The idea with the ‘Set Fazers’ video was to make a Sci Fi meets Dancehall epic! Through TikTok we met an amazing dancer called Shin (whose dance to our song ‘Nobody’ went viral earlier this year) and he’s added his unique style to the video too. We had so much fun filming it and can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Smile is set for release on 4th August 2023 via Earache Records, available to pre-order HERE.
Skindred will be headlining Takedown Festival (Portsmouth) and Dominion Festival (Durham) this year alongside slots at Nova Rock (Austria), 2000Trees (Cheltenham), Maid Of Stone (Maidstone) and Wacken Festival (Germany). The band will also be supporting KISS on their farewell tour at the following dates:
