Alt-rock outfit Two Year Break have released a video for their new single Don’t Bring Me Down – their first new music in over 18 months.
“Don’t Bring Me Down is an elevation of what came before; it’s still very much Two Year Break, but a definite level up,” the band explains. “We chose this song to be the first single release of the band’s new era because we feel it nicely bridges the gap between the TYB you know and the new to come. In terms of meaning, honestly, it’s still up for interpretation. The song lyrics and themes have been born out of our frustrations. Frustrations in relationships, in friendships, in ourselves – even with the way the world currently is. It’s written in a way that releases our emotions and distaste for how human beings can act – the narcissists, the gas lighters, people with an ulterior motive that ultimately feeds their selfish agenda. We don’t want those people around us, bringing us down, leading us on, and giving us false hope. So yea, in short, we’ve had enough so we thought we’d moan about it in some songs.”
Two Year Break will play a series of shows over the summer – head to their website HERE for more details.
