Fatherson return with their brand new single Piece Of Mind – their first new music since their last album Normal Fears.
“We were seriously excited about the direction of the songs,” the band explain. “But hit a bit of a brick wall, so we put a pin in them, and started work on what became ‘Normal Fears’. Earlier this year (with the help of Claudius) we finally managed to finish them off. Sometimes these things take time.”
“I wrote the song in a bit of an abstract headspace,” says vocalist/lead songwriter Ross Leighton. “I wanted to see how combining my love of The Rat Pack and Radiohead would sound and I really love how it turned out. Lyrically it’s an ode to friendship and knowing that people have got your back even if you feel like you’ve got ten brains and haven’t figured any of them out yet.”
