Sleep Outside have released an animated video for their new single Spider, taken from their upcoming sophomore EP Lakes In Which To Drown In.
“This track is probably the most frightening look into my everyday mental state that I could possibly write,” says vocalist/guitarist Adam Holborn. “I’ve had nightmares pretty frequently for as long as I can remember but last summer I dyed my hair red for the first time, a weirdly big deal for someone so self conscious, and that night I had the most terrifying nightmare about a big ass spider who was the same colour as my hair. I woke up and wrote that song pretty quickly the next day. The lyrics are pretty chaotic and felt like the realest representation of my day-to-day anxieties around everything I do.”
Lakes In Which To Drown In is due for release on 1st November 2023 via Best Life Records, available to pre-order HERE.
