VIDEO NEWS: Blackout Problems Release Video For New Single ‘GLOFS’ Featuring Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds

Blackout Problems have teamed up with Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds on their new single GLOFS. The title stands for Glacial Lake Outburst Floods and looks back on the 2021 Ahr Valley, Germany floods.

“At first, I didn’t believe that this idea could turn into reality. Then suddenly, two or three months after the request, I had a WhatsApp from Rou Reynolds with a Dropbox link. We took his first draft straight away because it was so magical and just fits perfectly! It’s a small lifelong dream that’s coming true for us,” comments vocalist Mario Radetzky.

The video was filmed in the Black Box at Fat Cat Munich, it sees the band and Reynolds performing together with a number of fans. “For the first time in our band history, we invited fans for a shoot,” explains Radetzky. “Around 75 of them were present. Of course, they had no clue that Rou Reynolds would be there for the shoot as well. So the surprise was huge and everyone was incredibly happy.”

Eagle eyed watchers may notice something similar to the video for previous single PUZZLE in the form of a telephone booth. “Interpersonal communication is a central theme on our album RIOT,” adds Radetzky. “But of course, the phone booth itself offers a lot more scope for interpretation – but we don’t want to reveal too much just yet.”

The track features on their forthcoming album RIOT which is set for release on 23rd February via Sony Music, available to pre-order HERE.
