The Home Team have released a video for their new single Loud, out now via Thriller Records.
“Beyond the obviously sexual subject matter of the song, Loud is about finding your confidence in giving 110% to things that may be outside of your immediate comfort zone,” explains frontman, Brian Butcher.
“Sonically, Loud gets into territories that we’ve always wanted to explore as artists, specifically in accessing a lot of groove and style, rather than just excessive energy,” We wanted to take a pop approach to a song and rock-ify it, as opposed to the other way around (which we’ve found is a lot more common).
“We had help from Skyler and Tyler Acord (Issues, Twenty-One Pilots, lophiile) on this song, and they did a fantastic job helping us realise our vision. It’s definitely a bit of a curveball genre wise for us, which is why we wanted to release it before any other singles from our new album. There will be more familiar sounding songs as well, but we feel like Loud is such a statement for how we want to write music going forward, and we feel so strongly about it, that it would be a shame not to lead with it. Being adventurous with new music can be nerve wracking considering we don’t know if current fans will embrace it, but we hope that the people see our vision like we do and enjoy bumping the song.”
