Alternative folk-rock artist Gigi Gold has released her debut EP Souvenirs, alongside a video for her new single Hot Coals.
“Hot Coals is a song about realising you are your own worst enemy and ultimately the cause of your own pain,” Gold explains. “It is an uncomfortable reflection on self-loathing, self-destruction, and the critical moment when you decide whether to remain the same or transform into something different. The inspiration came from the phrase ‘holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.’”
Souvenirs is out now via Marshall Records, available to stream HERE.
