It’s been some eight years since Evan Weiss’ solo project Into It. Over It. graced the UK with its presence. Trading up from a stool and acoustic guitar on previous tours, the packed-out Stereo basement was treated to a full 4-piece band with a set list including fan-favourites from 2011’s Proper and 2013’s Intersections, through to new tracks from the latest offering Interesting Decisions.
Philadephia’s finest Sweet Pill with Zayna Youssef’s wide eyes and angst-ridden vocals whipped the crowd into a frenzy, an enjoyable juxtaposition to math rocker’s Tangled Hair’s intricate compositions.
One can only hope these bands don’t have us waiting another eight years for a night like this.
