Those who made it to the show tonight were a testament to resilience as London transport was hit by cancellations presumably due to the hottest day of the year. This resulted in the start time being put back to allow the fans entry so as not to miss any of the stellar performances of the two bands at the top of their game. First on in the evening sunshine were Manic Street Preachers, every song a hit with the crowds especially Little Baby Nothing as the band were joined by The Anchoress in a bright pink suit. A fantastic effortless performance which stirred the crowd into excitement for Suede. Brett Anderson in particular did not disappoint, energetic, flamboyant and magnetic, hard to divert your eyes away from. He was clearly trying to get his step count in as he moved continually across the massive stage, a fantastic performance enjoyed by the entire crowd who were blessed to have made the effort to get to Alexandra Palace.
