Sugar Horse have released a video for their new single Richard Branson In The Sky With Diamonds, taken from their forthcoming DRUGS EP.
“…this song is a centrepiece for the record,” comments guitarist/vocalist Ashley Tubb. “A mangling of every direction we go in, distilled down and blasted out at both destructive and fragile volumes. ‘RBITSWD’ is based on the writing and videos of Chris Ott a formative Pitchfork writer, with a famously acerbic sense of humour. His Shallow Rewards series details the nepotism and self-serving culture within some areas of the music industry, as well as various niche historical pieces. A huge influence on me lyrically, as well as the general ethos of the band as a whole. Emphasis on originality is essential. Working hard to not repeat the same tired cliches and steering away from po-faced pretension.”
