Black Stone Cherry and Monster Truck have come together to launch a brand new web series called The Cherry Truck Band. The series will see both bands come together to write a song, offering a unique insight into how the creative process works. The idea emerged when Monster Truck‘s Jon ‘Marv’ Harvey joined Black Stone Cherry as a guest on their Cherry Chats podcast.
“We’re so happy to be hanging out with our fellow riff lovers in Monster Truck again – even if it has to be virtually for now!” Black Stone Cherry comment. “Writing a song with another band while live-streaming the entire process to the world is something neither group has ever done – so we are excited to see what happens and where it will go! It’s time to unleash the Cherry Truck Band!”
“We couldn’t be more excited for BSC to pop our collaboration Cherry! Haha!” adds Monster Truck‘s Harvey. “Can’t wait to write some serious rock n roll and come out the other side with a banger. People will be singing this tune for the rest of their lives.”
The first episode of The Cherry Chuck Band series will air tonight (13th May 2020) at 9pm BST, available to watch HERE. The following episodes in the web series will air on both bands’ Facebook pages every Wednesday at 9pm BST.
Black Stone Cherry‘s Cherry Chat has so far seen guest appearances from Halestorm (HERE), Theory Of A Deadman (HERE), Monster Truck (HERE) and Alter Bridge (HERE).
