Bloodstock have announced the opportunity for artists to showcase their work in the RAM Gallery at next year’s festival.
The RAM Gallery is where internationally renowned fantasy fine artist/festival founder Paul Gregory showcases his work, alongside a number of heavy-metal friendly artists and creatives. Next year, newcomers in the art world will be able to win the opportunity to showcase their work in the gallery too.
To enter the competition, participants need to design and create their own piece of artwork based around and inspired by one of the bands performing at Bloodstock 2021 (see the line-up poster below). The entries will be judged by Paul Gregory and fellow artist Mark Wilkinson (illustrator of album sleeves for Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and The Darkness). The competition winner will have their work professionally framed and showcased in the RAM Gallery on site at the festival, when it takes place between 11th-15th August 2021. In addition to this, the main winner will win a pair of weekend tickets, a personal tour of the RAM Gallery with Paul Gregory and the potential to watch three songs side of stage for the band they’ve chosen to create their artwork for (subject to closed stages). Two runners-up will also win a pair of weekend tickets and a tour of the RAM Gallery with Paul Gregory.
Speaking about the competition, Gregory says: βItβs time to get your creative imaginations into overdrive and bring the art and music together in the Rock and Metal gallery. This is what the Ram, Rock and Metal Museum champions. Myself and Mark look forward to seeing your work. Horns high. See you all soon.β
