Converge have announced details of their forthcoming collaborative album Bloodmoon: I, alongside sharing the video for Blood Moon which is the first single from the release.
“We wanted to do something grander than the typical four-piece Converge music,” says Converge vocalist Jacob Bannon in regards to their new album. The band working with songstress Chelsea Wolfe, her bandmate/writing partner Ben Chisolm and Cave In vocalist/guitarist Stephen Brodsky.
The album was worked on at Coverage guitarist Kurt Ballou’s God City Studio in Salem, Massachusetts during late 2019 with the rest of the album finished remotely during 2020. Produced by Ballou, Brodsky says about the collaborative project: “I feel like everyone just kept the music in mind and wanted to do what’s best for the song”.
Wolfe adds: “The project stretched my vocals in new ways. It’s so different than what I normally sing over that I was able to open up and be vulnerable with my vocals.”. Whilst Bannon continues: “Our dynamics are pushing and pulling in all different directions on this record, and I find that to be creatively rewarding.”

Bloodmoon: I is set for CD/Digital release on 19th November via Epitaph Records, followed by a vinyl release on 24th June 2022 through Deathwish. Head HERE to pre-order the album.
