MUSIC NEWS: WACO Release Tribute EP & Video In Memory Of Late Bassist Chris ‘Flip’ Cowley

WACO have released their new EP Flip Forever, dedicated to Chris ‘Flip’ Cowley, the original bass player in WACO who passed away in 2018. The EP, which has been released on Bandcamp, is available as ‘pay what you want’, with 100% of proceeds donated to Cruse.

Following the sudden, tragic loss of Flip, WACO decided to continue and have since released two further albums in his memory: Hope Rituals (2020) and Rock Spirit Absolute Joy (2022).

The Flip Forever EP is a tight edit of cuts from the WACO catalogue that carry special memories of Flip. 

The band shared a music video for the title track on 25th August 2023 via Venn Records, which would have marked Flip’s 35th birthday. Made by collaborator and road dog Paul Blue, the video features unseen live footage and memories of Chris taken from WACO’s early tours, including Europe with Juliette & The Licks.
