JOHN have released their brand new album A Life Diagrammatic, alongside their new single At Peaceheaven.
“Having moved to the south coast during the album’s inception, it’s a track that nods to the coastal town of Peacehaven that sits on the cliffs – perhaps only really famous for being where the invisible Meridian Time Line runs into the UK,” explains drummer/lead vocalist John Newton. “It’s a pretty cinematic view with the town staring out contemplatively across the channel, the sea almost appearing like a wall at the end of each road. We’ve always attempted to capture various quotidian scenes throughout our music, and it seemed interesting that a place that is somewhat defined by time’s passing could feel so stagnant and still. I suppose it could be symbolic of our human reluctance to change – even when confronted with the uncertainty of the future.”
