MUDSHARK have released a video for their new single CLOSE YOUR EYES, taken from their upcoming EP BEWARE OF THE GERMAN SHEPHERD.
“CLOSE YOUR EYES is another track that Hagen (guitar) wrote at the age of 14,” the band explains. “As always, the song would only come to life years later with STR?NGR’s (vocals) words and vocal melodies. The riffing is heavily inspired by Lamb of God’s signature triplet grooves from masterpieces Ashes of the Wake and Sacrament, the chorus and chords wouldn’t be the same without the first two Linkin Park albums. The lyrics are partly inspired by the events and controversy of Woodstock ’99. As for most of our lyrics though, they draw their main inspiration from STR?NGR’s subconscious.
