Exciting news! Bring The Noise are looking for some fresh meat!
2013 is set to be our biggest year yet with the site growing by the day. We’ve got huge plans and whilst we already have a bloody brilliant, hard working and dedicated team we’re looking to expand. There’s plenty of room at the site for some new additions, which is where you come in.
So who are we looking for? We’re looking for dedicated, passionate writers and photographers to come onboard and be part of something that’s getting bigger ands better all the time. We don’t ask much – simply that you’re good at what you do, or willing to learn. Experience, as ever, is preferred but don’t expect it – not everyone has had that chance, maybe Bring The Noise can give you that?
To apply to become an official Bring The Noise contributor just fill in the relevant form below where you can tell us a little bit about yourself and send some examples of your work. Not had anything published? Don’t worry, how about a review of the latest gig you went to? Or your favourite film/album? A couple of pieces will do, we just want to make sure you know the differences between ‘there’, ‘their’ and ‘they’re’.
Are you a photographer? We have a special form just for you!
PHOTOGRAPHER & VIDEOGRAPHER APPLICATION
We’re also looking for people to help out with filming. From filming interviews and video features at festivals to the not-so exciting but nonetheless important editing, we need you! We’re looking to expand the video aspect of Bring The Noise and seriously up our content, so we’re going to need some extra pairs of hands. Sound like the role for you? Simply fill out the photographers form above.
And don’t worry, it doesn’t matter if you don’t think your work is up to scratch, the chances are it is or we’re willing to help you get you on your way to becoming a bloody awesome writer. Enthusiasm and passion is sometimes all it takes.
We regularly offer out higher positions to our contributors so although you can’t head straight for an editorial position out of the blue, it’s worth becoming a part of the team and working your way up from there. From proof readers and being a member of the news team to being an editor, there’s plenty of room to grow at Bring The Noise. Plus, the more work you put it in and the higher you get, the better the perks…what’s not to like about that?
You might be thinking “but what’s in it for me?” and that’s understandable. In this day and age, experience is pretty much a necessity when it comes to your CV. And we want to give people that opportunity. Of course there are perks – singles and albums, films and games, gig and festival passes – which help to sweeten the deal, but there’s so much more to it than that. We’ve had members of the team, past and present, who have found their experience at Bring The Noise has had a huge (positive, of course) effect on their employment and it’s a great way to get your foot in the door. But hey, who doesn’t love a freebie?
But at the end of the day, no matter whether you get an amazing CV out of it or a load of festival passes (and some hangovers to boot), Bring The Noise is all about having some fun in an industry we all love. Yes we’re hard working and are all scarily passionate about what we do, but more than anything we enjoy what we do. Everyone’s got to start somewhere, right? Might as well make it enjoyable…
But maybe Bring The Noise isn’t your cup of tea? We won’t hold that against you, but why not pass us on to someone you know? It could be just the opportunity they’re looking for.
We’re looking forward to getting our teeth into some new people so say hello!
