Set to release their debut album 'Chronicle I: The Truthseeker' later this week via New Heavy Sounds, we caught up with guitarist Claire Simson to discuss the band's formation, their ambitions, her first musical memory and more.

Rising death metal quintet Venom Prison have gone from strength-to-strength since they formed in 2016. With two full-length albums under their belts, which landed them global festival slots and high profile tours, the band are back with their new release 'Primeval'. Singer-songwriter BLANKS released his debut EP 'cheap sodas and ice cream kisses' in August, drawing on his love of 80s era pop and dance to deliver a summer-infused indie-pop record. Lead single 'Favorite Nightmare' was written with the input of BLANKS' Instagram following, who picked their favourite melodies and suggested lyrical topics, resulting in an upbeat exploration of, in his own words, "a relationship which had its moments, but wasn’t good for both sides." Northern Ireland's CATALAN! (the project of Ewen Friers) caught our attention with his lively mix of indie, post-rock, and post-punk on debut album 'Veritas'. Ahead of the release CATALAN! revealed the catchy 'Fortune', a fitting track that "echoes how we consume the world through social media." The Front Bottoms' new album 'In Sickness & In Flames' celebrates life, as the two-piece push forward with a positive and creative energy on the follow-up to 2017's 'Going Grey'. That said, they have openly explained that their new record is one that involves pain, when the pair went through unbelievable life changes - but creativity came to the rescue in helping them to solve their problems.
