Sad Blood are back at it again with the puns in their latest EP Legion of Gloom. Following on from their last three-song release Ultimate Worriers in August (both are nods to Professional Wrestling), this latest effort is a great continuation of the wrestling madness and misery that this band seems to love.
LIVE REVIEW: The Front Bottoms, Kevin Devine And The Goddamn Band, O2 Library, Birmingham 08/02/2016
Watching The Front Bottoms play a show is watching them at their most comfortable. They are, through and through, a DIY touring band who know how gain fans live and convert even the most sceptical spectator. We’re excited to see that the new opportunities presented to these guys have already kicked their live up a notch; making it the best it’s ever been.
Muncie Girls are one of the many recent female-fronted, all-inclusive bands that have surged to the forefront of the punk scene, and hopefully this trend will continue. Earnest and melodic, From Caplan to Belsize reminds us that we need to give credit to the DIY punx out there who are out there keeping music fresh and more exciting than ever.
There's no debate about it; Beach Slang's heartfelt performance made the whole evening feel fun and special, like getting punched in the gut by your best friend (in the best possible way, if that makes any sense).
