Danny and Kieran from Phoxjaw joined us at 2000Trees after their excellent set on the Neu Stage earlier that day. We talked about festivals, the Bristol music scene, their latest EP A Playground For Sad Adults and their plans for the rest of the year.

2019 is the year of touring for Demob Happy, who completed their biggest UK headline tour to date in Spring, toured Europe with Royal Blood and now gear up to tour extensively through North America with Band Of Skulls, before returning to the UK for a run of dates supporting The Amazons. We caught up with the band ahead of their US tour to hear their top tips and stories from the road!

Patrick and Corey from the mighty Drug Church sat down with us shortly before their set at 2000trees. We spoke about camping, Blue Oyster Cult, Echo & the Bunnymen, metal, punk and hardcore, as well as the importance of not taking yourself too seriously.

Later this week Leeds indie/dirty pop quartet Marsicans make their way to Reading & Leeds Festival, to headline the BBC Music Introducing Stage. We caught up with drummer Matthew 'Cale' McHale to talk about what the festival means to the band, their most memorable moment on stage and more.

In a world where words like “genuine” and “refreshing” are thrown around the music scene left, right and centre, you learn to ration them. Clichés are a marvellous (if not lazy) thing, therefore there really are times where you simply cannot avoid them. So yes, Hot Milk are both refreshing and genuine…but hear us out. When speaking of clichés, Hot Milk are literally anything but, and it’s an absolute delight to see them both on stage and at interview. What are you listening to at the moment? The chances are, probably at least a few bands that hail from the land Down Under. Many of the young, dynamic artists making waves on the scene are from Australia right now as the country’s music scene is enjoying something of a revival on a global scale. One such band that’s had us really sitting up to take note are Sydney’s Yours Truly, and we were lucky enough to catch up with vocalist Mikaila and guitarist Lachlan at this year’s Download Festival.
