ALBUM REVIEW: Lower Than Atlantis – Lower Than Atlantis (The Black Edition)

For Watford quartet Lower Than Atlantis their 2014 self-titled propelled them to the forefront of the British rock scene. Following on from this success a re-packaged version entitled Lower Than Atlantis – The Black Edition has been released rammed with the original album alongside new material, alternative versions and some very interesting covers. It’s usually a hit and miss game with re-releases but with 27 tracks we couldn’t really say no to giving it a listen.

EP REVIEW: Counterfeit – Come Get Some

Punk rock is a genre we never seem to get enough of nowadays, but London trio Counterfeit are here to change this. Their debut EP Come Get Some may be short at just three tracks long, but it provides the perfect introduction to their punky sound.

LIVE REVIEW: Scouting For Girls, Mike Dignam, O2 Academy, Bournemouth, 04/12/2015

A dull Friday night in Bournemouth looked set to be turned around when we walked into O2 Academy for Scouting For Girls tour date in support of their Still Thinking About You album. We’ve made it no secret that we’re fans of the band having been at their previous Bournemouth show when we had a chat to them beforehand, so we knew tonight was set to be memorable.

EP REVIEW: Never Hill – Epilogue (Extended Version)

Following on from it’s original release back in June, Nuneaton outfit Never Hill have re-released their Epilogue EP - this time with two additional alternative tracks. Usually we're not fans of the whole re-release, especially without a significant change to the previous versions; but maybe Epilogue could change our minds.

At Bring The Noise we’ve made it no secret that we really do applaud Midlands’s quartet Max Raptor for keeping the punk spirit alive in the British music scene. Following on from their 2013 debut full length Mother’s Ruin, they’re back with four track EP Damage Appreciation. There’s been a big change in the MR camp since the previous release: they’re now signed to Hassle Records and it’s safe to say we were very excited to see what this latest EP would bring…
