Marking 25 years since the release of their iconic debut, American Football’s 'LP1' has returned in the form of a reissue and a covers album, inviting fans to revisit the unmistakable combination of raw vulnerability and intricate instrumentation that cemented the album's place in the Midwest emo genre.

By this point it is inescapable to mention American Football without mentioning the fact that they haven't released a record since their self-titled debut back in 1999. Whilst somewhat of a cult hit at the time, it wasn't until the band had stopped making music that things began to click for the Illinois quartet. The band's rise to acclaim came during the so called "emo revival" and it eventually lead to a reformation back in 2014. Two years on we have finally been graced with the long awaited second album, American Football (LP2).
Evan Thomas Weiss’ Into It. Over It. project is considered one of the leading acts of the “emo revival.” 2013’s Intersections saw Weiss at a forefront of a genre thought to be stuck in 2005, and in a sense revolutionising it. Now, the Chicago-based singer is back with his third studio release, Standards.
