It's finally the time of year where Slam Dunk Festival returns, taking over Leeds, Hatfield and Birmingham for three days of rock, metal and punk. Bigger and better than ever, with Hatfield expanding to a new site, we're spoilt for choice and can't wait to be back at one of our favourite festivals of the year. At Download 2017 we sat down with Giorgio Cantarutti and Ashley Green from Holding Absence. The Cardiff outfit are making big waves on the live circuit, and from line-up changes to signing to SharpTone Records things got big and exciting extremely fast.

We headed to Download Festival 2017 to see if the 15th edition would be just as much fun as those before it. With System of a Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith headlining there really was something for everyone to enjoy.

They may be the new kids on the block but it's not taken long for Holding Absence to turn heads across the country. Over the coming months the band have tour dates which sees them share stages with Blood Youth and We Are The Ocean, as well as making their debut at Download Festival. We caught up with frontman Lucas Woodland to hear their stories from the road, from awkward traffic jams to travelling in pyjamas.
