Due to recording commitments, The Mission District regret to announce that they will be postponing their upcoming UK tour until November. Their forthcoming debut album, “Youth Games” is currently being recorded in the bands native Canada with producer Luc Tellier (Delson Drive, The Furlongs). Recording sessions for the upcoming album have been extended by a further three weeks, forcing the band to postpone their UK tour due to the necessity of completing the record by the required deadline.
A statement from the band is as follows:
“It breaks my heart just to be writing this, but we have to postpone our UK Tour from September to November. The release for our first album has been set for early February 2010 and the record company has made the decision that they want everything for it done by the end of the month. So we’re going to finish up recording over the next few weeks and shoot two new music videos. We’d much rather be out there playing for you, but unfortunately this needs to happen. We want to make the best album possible for you guys.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us and bought tickets for our tour. We love every single one of you. We promise we’ll make our shows even better for you in November.
David, Antoine, Mike, Rob and Travis.”
